Luis Caputo said Javier Milei is like a Beatle: "People crowd around to take photos with him."

Economy Minister Luis Caputo once again expressed his admiration for President Javier Milei , whom he described as a " Beatle " because people chase him around and want to take photos with him, just as the storied Liverpool band did in the 1960s. In this context, the head of the Treasury described a repetitive situation he experiences when he meets with the president.

" You go to a meeting and it's like going with a Beatle in the 1960s. As soon as Javier arrives, crowds of people are pushing to take a photo with him ," the libertarian leader revealed. The official participated in the program Las Tres Anclas (The Three Anchors), broadcast on the streaming channel Carajo, which also featured the president of the Central Bank, Santiago Bausili; the deputy minister of the Economy, José Luis Daza; the director of the BCRA, Federico Furiase; and the director of the BICE (Bitcoin Exchange), Martín Vauthier; hosted by Caputo's chief advisor, Felipe Nuñez.

In this same context, Luis Caputo asserted that "children are fascinated by President Milei , so for the next 10, 12 years, they're going to vote liberal," he asserted. Beyond what society in general thinks, for the economist, the role of the head of state is also important in attracting capital that wants to invest in Argentina.

"The president is a shortcut in that regard. You don't achieve that trust easily. Investments are coming in much faster. There are countless investors who think like us, and they see a guy who goes to Davos and says what he dares to say. These are extremely important things for investment," the Minister of Economy concluded.

On the other hand, Caputo also attacked the opposition, which in the last session of the House of Representatives gave preliminary approval to a pension increase for retirees, which will be vetoed by the Executive Branch if it advances in the Senate. "They always seek to destroy the heart of the model. Now they know it's the fiscal anchor, so they always look for a cause that people can relate to," he criticized.

"We returned savings to the private sector; the public sector made the adjustments, in an expenditure that was spurious and corrupt. The allocations were very well chosen," said the Minister of Economy, who praised the Libertarian administration's care for the most vulnerable: "We increased social security by doubling the Universal Child Allowance and Food Card," he concluded.
